When the subject isn’t in focus

Sometimes a shot can become a whole lot more interesting when you place your subjects out of the in-focus area. The man looks more mysterious walking towards the viewer with his indistinguishable face. The woman sort of cycles into the corner of picture, but the viewers eye is directed to the background and all the people there. You can use scale focusing and manual focus to get these effects, sometimes they work really well!
